ROCKAWAY - Third-single Jan Santos and the doubles teams of Nicki Imperato-Nick Leeper and Jeremy Blankfein-Matt Lubin each won their pro-set matches when Morris Hills beat Mount Olive, 3-2, in a high school tennis match held at Mount Olive on Wednesday, May 26.
Santos won his third-singles match, 10-5; Imperato-Leeper won at first-doubles, 10-6; and Blankfin-Lubin won at second-doubles, 10-6.
Howie Fang lost a 10-5 decision at first-singles and Ramsey Al-Khalil lost his second-singles match, 10-7.
Morris Hills finishes the spring season at 10-13. Mount Olive is 6-16 after the loss.

Morris Hills falls to Pope John, 3-2
ROCKAWAY - Ramsey Al-Khalil and Jan Santos won their singles matches for Morris Hills as the Knights lost a 3-2 decision to Pope John in a high school boy tennis match held at Pope John in Sparta on Thursday, May 20.
Al-Khalil, the Knights' No. 2 singles player, defeated Rob McKinley 7-6 (7-4), 1-6, 6-3 and Santos won his third-singles match against Sean Ford 6-0, 6-0.
Morris Hills' No. 1 singles Howie Fang lost 6-4, 6-2; the first doubles team of Jeremy Blankfein and Anvesh Annadanam lost 6-2, 6-3; and the second doubles team of Nick Leeper and John Esmeraldino dropped a 6-4, 6-2 decision.
Morris Hills is now 9-13; Pope John improved to 6-9.

ROCKAWAY - Powerful Randolph didn't give up more than one game in any of the 10 sets played in stopping Morris Hills, 5-0, in a high school tennis match played at Randolph on Monday, May 17.
Howie Fang and Ramsey Al-Khalil lost their singles matches at love while Jan Santos was beaten 6-1, 6-1.
The Knights first doubles team of Anvesh Annadanam and Jeremy Blankfein lost 6-0, 6-1, and the second doubles team of Nick Leeper and Nicki Imperato was also beaten, 6-1, 6-1.
Morris Hills is 8-12 after the defeat; Randolph improved to 14-6.

Knights MCT play ends in first round
ROCKAWAY - None of the players on the Morris Hills High School tennis team were able to get out of the first round of play at the two-day Morris County Tennis Tournament that opened Friday, May 14, at Delbarton School in Morris Township.
The tournament concludes on Saturday, May 15, with the semifinal and championships rounds starting at 9 a.m. at Villa Walsh Academy in Morristown.
Howard Fang at first singles, Ramsey Al-Khaalil at second singles, and third singles Jan Santos lost their first-round matches.
The Knights first-doubles team of Anresh Annadanan and Jeremy Blankfin and the second doubles team of Nicki Imperato and Nick Leeper were also eliminated in the first round.

Knights bow out of sectional tourney in 3-2 loss to Sparta
ROCKAWAY - Morris Hills was eliminated from further play in the North 1, Group 3 high school state sectional tennis tournament after suffering a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Sparta at Sparta on Thursday, May 13.
The Knights, the No. 13 seeded team in the 16-team field, are 8-11 after the loss. Sparta, the No. 4 seed, improved to 9-4.
Jan Santos won his match at third singles and the second-doubles team of Nicki Imperato and Nick Leeper won 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 to register Morris Hills' two team points.
No. 1 singles Howie Fang, No. 2 singles Ramsey Al-Khalil, and the first-doubles team of Jeremy Blnkfein and Anvesh Annadanam lost their matches in straight sets.

Imperato-Leeper wins in 4-1 loss to Mo'town
ROCKAWAY - Morris Hills' second-doubles team of Nicki Imperato and Nick Leeper got the only team point for the Knights in a 4-1 loss to Morristown in a high school tennis match played at Morris Hills on Tuesday, May 11.
The Imperato-Leeper team scored a 6-2, 6-3 victory over the Colonials' second-doubles team.
Howie Fang lost a second-set tie-breaker in his 6-0, 7-6 (7-2) loss at first singles; Ramsey Al-Khalil lost in straight sets at second singles; and Jan Santos went three sets before losing his third-singles match, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4. The first-doubles team of Anvesh Annadanam and Jeremy Blankfein lost 6-2, 6-3.
Morris Hills is 8-10 after the defeat; Morristown improved to 5-10.

Knights hold off Parsippany, 3-2
ROCKAWAY - Morris Hills pulled to within a victory of the .500 mark as the Knights defeated Parsippany, 3-2, in a high school tennis match at Morris Hills on Monday, May 10, that saw four of the five individual matches go to three sets.
The Knights' Howie Fang won his first-singles match 6-2, 3-6, 7-5; Morris Hills No. 2 singles Ramsey Al-Khalil lost his match 7-5, 6-7 (2-7), 6-1; and Jan Santos won his match at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 2-6, 6-3.
The Knights' first doubles team of Jeremy Alankfein and Anvesh Annadanam clinched the team win with a 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 victory and, in the only match of the day that went only two sets, Nick Leeper and Nicki Imperato lost their second-doubles match, 6-1, 6-4.
The win improved Morris Hills season record to 12-13; Parsippany slipped to 5-10.

ROCKAWAY - A sweep of the singles matches keyed Morris Hills to a 4-1 victory over Vernon in a high school tennis match played at Vernon on Thursday, May 6.
First-singles Howie Fang won 6-3, 6-3; second singles Ramsey Al-Khalil won, 6-0, 6-3; and Jan Santos won his third-singles match 6-0, 6-0.
The first-doubles team of Anvesh Annadanam and Jeremy Blankfein won their match, 6-1, 6-2; the second-doubles team of Nick Leeper and Nicki Imperato lost their match 6-4, 6 -2.
The win puts Morris Hills two games off the .500 mark at 7-9; Vernon is winless in 14 matches.

Knights fall to Kinnelon, 3-2
ROCKAWAY - Howie Fang won at first singles and the first-doubles team of Jeremy Blankfein and Anvesh Annadanam also won for Morris Hills during a 3-2 loss to Kinnelon in a high school tennis match played at Kinnelon on Wednesday, May 5.
Fang won his match in straight sets in beating Kinnelon's Eoin Reidy 6-2, 6-3.
Blankfein and Annadanam had to go three set to win their match as they beat the Kinnelon duo of Paul Zechmeister and Greg Ketchum 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.
In other matches Ramsey Al-Khalil lost at second singles, 7-5, 6-2; Jano Santos took his opponent to three sets before losing at third singes 2-6, 6-2, 6-3; and the second double team of Nicki Imperato and Matt Lubin lost 6-2, 6-3.
Morris Hills is 6-9 after the loss; Kinnelon is 10-7.

Knights bow to Mendham, 5-0
ROCKAWAY - First-singles Howe Fang was the only Morris Hills player to win a set as the Knights suffered a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Mendham in a boys high school tennis match played at Morris Hills on Tuesday, May 4.
Fang won his first set 6-3, but lost 6-0 and 6-2 in the second and third sets to lose the match.
Second singles Ramsey Al-Khalil, third-singles Anvesh Annadanam both lost in straight sets as did the teams of Nicki Imperato and Nick Leper at first doubles and Jeremy Blankfein and Matt Lubin at second doubles.
The win boosts Mendham's spring record to 11-5; Morris Hills slips to 6-8.

Knights lose to Morris Knolls, 3-2
ROCKAWAY - Jan Santos won at third singles and the first-doubles team of Jeremy Blankfein and Anvesh Annadanam won as Morris Hills lost a 3-2 decision to Morris Knolls in a high school tennis match played at Hills on Tuesday, April 27.
Santos went three sets in winning his match 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 and Blankfein and Annadanaman won their match in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4.
Howie Fang and Ramsey Al-Khalil lost their singles matches in straight sets and the second double team of Nicki Imperato and Nick Leeper lost 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) as the Knights slipped to 5-7 on the season.
Morris Knolls improved to 8-3 with the victory.

Sweep at singles leads Knight to 4-1 victory
ROCKAWAY - A sweep of the singles matches led Morris Hills to a 4-1 victory over Parsippany Hills in a high school boys tennis match held at at Morris Hills on Friday, April 23.
No. 1 singles Howie Fang and No. 2 singles Ramsey Al-Khalil each went three sets to claim their team point as Fang won 6-7 (3-7), 6-2, 6-4 at first singles and Al-Khalil won his match at second singles, 6-3, 1-6, 6-2.
No. 3 singles Jan Santos needed only two sets to win his match 6-3, 6-3.
In doubles, the No. 1 team of Jeremy Blankfein and Anvesh Annadanam went to three sets before winning, 1-6, 6-1, 6-3 and the No. 2 team of Nicki Imperato and Nick Leeper lost 6-2, 6-2.
Morris Hills improved to 5-6 with the win; Par Hills slipped to 2-7.

Knights turn back Hopatcong, 4-1
ROCKAWAY - The Morris Hills High School tennis team improved to 4-6 when the Knights beat Hopatcong, 4-1, at Hopatcong on Wednesday, April 21.
Second-singles Ramsey Al-KJhalil and third singels Jan Santos won in straight sets for the Knights while first double Anvesh Annadanam and Jeremy Blankfein also won their match in two sets.
With darkness approaching, the remaining two matches were declared draws and each team got a half-point.
Morris Hills first-singles Howie Fang was winning 7-6 (7-4), 5-4 when his match was halted and the Knights second doubles team of Nicki Imperato and Nick Leeper was ahead 6-1, 3-0 when their draw was declared.

ROCKAWAY - Morris Hills suffered five straight-set losses in a 5-0 loss to unbeaten (9-0) West Morris in a high school boys tennis match at West Morris on Tuesday, April 20.
Howie Fang, Ramsey Al-Khalil and P.J. Pattamatta each lost their singles matches and the doubles teams of Anvesh Annadanam-Jeremy Blankfein and Nick Leeper-Nicki Imperato suffered the same fate.
Morris Hills is 3-6.
